First, a few words about our cast:

What: Woman, wife, mom, daughter, pet owner, self-employed in the healthcare field
With: ADD, PTSD, depression, and probably a host of other things that could be in all caps
Who: Taoist Biker, affectionately known as TB
What: Man, husband, dad, son, reluctant pet owner, motorhead, musician, philosopher
With: A very large brain, some interesting conflicts, and deep desire to understand himself
Who: The Boy
What: Professional 9-year-old Boy, cool kid, son of Dys & TB, “brother” of a dog, LEGO Master
With: Asperger syndrome, many traits of Dys & TB yet to be filed under their respective titles
Who: The Dog
What: Seriously, a dog. Occasionally reluctant “sister” to The Boy, otherwise happy furball
With: A serious attachment to Dys, bordering on ridiculous but thankfully not yet there
A few notes on your host:
I am…a huge fan…of ellipses…
I am (really) also a (tremendous) fan of (can you guess?) parentheses (honest).
Okay, let’s face it: I have a love affair with punctuation; I have to admit it!
My favorite color is purple.
I have ADD, so it shouldn’t surprise you that my favorite color changes fairly often.
My favorite color used to be blue.
I own almost no purple clothing but a ton of blue.
My CD collection includes many CDs I bought for one song and have never listened to the whole CD.
I have an addiction to various forms of writing implements and office supplies.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be in Congress. My backup dream profession? Opera singer.
I can turn my tongue sideways in my mouth – in both directions. Go ahead; try it.
At various times in my life, my hair has been every color natural to humans except white, but I’m working on it.
I like candles that smell like anything having to do with fall, the smell of my husband, the smell of my son’s quilt, the smell of my sleeping dog, and the smell of my clean sheets.
My house is a mess. (sigh….)
I enjoy books, games of all kinds, music of most genres, comedy, movies — honestly, I most enjoy seeing talented people doing what they love, whether a comedian, a potter, a singer, a writer, or a tattoo artist.
Working from home is one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
I get a thrill from driving fast in a car that was built for it, a great pair of gloves, jeans that fit, laughing with my family, giving a great gift, and seeing people learn.
This page had comments long before I ever actually finally sat down to write it.
I genuinely hope that people can find something useful for them in my blog, whether that be relief, understanding, knowledge, comedy, or a needed distraction (not an unneeded one!); however, I write here as an outlet for myself and not for anyone else.
Last, but definitely not least, I love my husband.
Welcome to Dyskinesia. I hope to see you again.

I still think it’s SO funny that your “Details, details” has no details.
Fine, I’ll interview you for them this weekend. (Teach you to mess with me, buddy.)

Ooh parentheses!!! (me too!) I love all the variety as well: [square], {curly}, … I could go on. They’ve made my life as a technical writer/editor/coder/whatever-I-end-up-doing-next sooo much easier… ok i need to stop now.

You mean there are people who can’t turn their tongue sideways? I can turn mine all the way upside-down. lol
I also love punctuation. And office supplies. And writing implements (even though I do everything I can to avoid having to actually write anything by hand, as I prefer to type).
Looking forward to reading your blog!
